Braxton hick’s conceiving are common in pregnancies and do not cause any concern for the woman. However, they can be very deceiving and many women believe that they are going into labor when they are actually not.

These false labor pains are simply the body’s way of getting ready to deliver a baby. During this time, the uterus will expand and cause the muscles in the abdomen to flex. This can be fairly uncomfortable for the woman, but is usually not as painful as real contractions.

One thing to keep in mind is that Braxton hick’s contractions will not cause you to go into labor. This means that they will not cause a woman to begin dilating. She will only begin dilating when she is truly ready to go into labor.

While contractions will be steady and grow more painful, Braxton hick’s contractions will be more erratic and less painful.

However, you should always talk to your doctor when you are feeling contractions. This will help you to determine when you need to head to the hospital or when you should wait some more.
